All Care training, nursing staff, support staff and supplies - for the company you keep
About Allcare
Allcare Agencies were established in 1998, within the care sector, by Rachel Barton RGN. Working in the domiciliary and nursing areas we quickly became established as one of the leading care agencies within the North West.
As part of the ongoing commitment we have to our staff and clients, we established a training programme which enabled us to train our staff to a very high standard. This programme was designed and taught by Linda Dixon, our Manager, who came to us with ten years training experience.
In 2003 the nurses agency moved to Blackburn and we began to expand our training capabilities by bringing in other trainers with expertise in other areas. We also had excellent reviews from the Commission for Social Care Inspection, now the Care Quality Commision and Investors in People. The training agency was awarded Investors in People status in 2003 joining the nurses agency in showing the ongoing commitment to training.
In 2004 we began to offer training to our clients, many of whom have continued to use our services to train and maintain updates for their staff. We work closely with a number of other training companies, to ensure we continue to offer the highest standard in training across various areas and subjects. Every trainer working for Allcare has current work experience in the area they teach and they must maintain a hands on approach to their work. Our training team has wide ranging teaching experience and we have the skills to train students of varying ages and abilities.
All our courses comply with current legislation and national standards of the various industries: they also comply with all regulations and recommendations for training of adults in continuing education, and use the guidelines laid down by the QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority). We produce our own workbooks for the courses which enables us to quickly update them when changes are identified. Our courses are also modular which allows us to tailor all courses to suit your requirements.
In 2006 we moved to larger premises which means we are now able to offer two open courses a day at our own premises and still have the ability to work in house with our clients. We also became an accredited centre with City and Guilds and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. This means that we can offer NVQ’s in Health and Social Care and accredited Basic Health and Safety and Food Hygiene courses.
All our courses are detailed in the training section of this website, and our Training Manager will be very pleased to discuss your individual needs. Many of the courses are now classed as mandatory training, and we also provide a database of information which will enable us to inform you of when your updates are needed. If you do not see a specific course, then please ask as we can usually tailor a course to suit your specific training needs. All courses are certificated and workbooks are provided.
Most courses run from 09.30 to 16.00 Monday to Friday, we can also offer weekend and evening or night courses to suit your shift arrangements. Where courses are of a half day duration or less we will usually offer you the chance to complete two or three complimentary courses, i.e. infection control and food hygiene.
Please read through the frequently asked questions and if you have any further queries then please email us enquiries@allcare-uk.com or phone us on 01254 682200 and our training manager will be happy to help you.
